the three schools of thought concerning learning and teaching are the cognitivists humanistic and behaviorists ideologies.

Cognitive concepts concerned how we receive and store and understand knowledge and how that knowledge is process in the meaningful learning. When this relates to technology we look at the fact how do the students received the knowledge and information and how do they process it and store it for future access.

The humanistic approach is how we interact with our self and the feelings and attitudes and even our values that we built throughout life and how this affects learning and how does this improve or hinder learning throughout your years of life. The basis of this concept is how you use your self-worth and your self concept of life and personal ideologies and how you apply them to your learning processes in education. They look at how the technology affects the student and how it can be effective or ineffective for the students.

Behaviorists look at how they can manipulate the environment and improve learning characteristics in a classroom learning environment. Their ideology concerning technology is how they can implement and use it or manipulate it in such a fashion to increase and even decrease learning in certain instances. By decreasing learning in one environment and increasing and that they can prove that one point is more effective over another. One of our favorite behavioral list look at is Skinner and how he would manipulate learning techniques teaching animals and even people how to do some by manipulation of the environment. His concepts are still used today in many applications for our controlling knowledge learning. But we have to look at the fact by applying a technology into the classroom we can greatly increase learning for all students because we're giving them not only visual verbal and  kinesthetic interaction to help them learn on multiple levels which can improve learning levels overall for most of your students. Using technology can also manipulate information in such a fashion that if one student only learns in one fashion then you are able to feed information to that particular student and that one aptitude process so that they learn at the best of their ability. Remember one thing about behavioral is they love to manipulate whether it's good or bad always is another story so always remember to use the concepts that best support what you are doing in the classroom which is using more technology to increase the amount of knowledge available to your students.
